Schedule Changes

With the poor weather conditions this week, changes have been made to many events. Here are some updates: Houghton @ Calumet Baseball scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled and will not be made-up. Shopko Foundation Donates to Calumet Softball

Calumet, MI (May 18, 2017) – Calumet High School is pleased to announce it has received a $250.00 grant from the Shopko Foundation for their Varsity Softball program.  These funds will support the purchase of a new equipment for the team. Softball Games Rescheduled

The following softball games have been rescheduled: Softball at L’Anse originally scheduled for April 20th has been rescheduled for Wednesday, 5/3/17 at Aura. Softball vs. Baraga at home, originally scheduled for May 1st has been rescheduled for Friday, May 12th at 4pm in Laurium.  

More Postponements

Baseball scheduled for Tuesday, May 1st against L’Anse has been postponed.  No make-up date has been set. Thursday’s softball game with Jeffers has been moved to Tuesday, May 9th.  those games will be played in Laurium at the Gipp Field.

More Cancellations & Postponements

Softball vs. Baraga scheduled for today has been postponed due to weather.  No make-up date has been scheduled at this time. The CC Invite track meet scheduled for Tuesday, May 2nd has been moved to Monday, May 15th. The Calumet middle school invite scheduled for May 15th has been moved to Thursday, May 18th.  

Copper Kings Go Deep 6 Times to Sweep Hancock

The Copper Kings displayed their power Tuesday in the first Copper Softball Trophy game at Gordy Schaaf Field by taking a pair of games, 10-4 and 14-1, over the host Hancock Bulldogs. The winners socked six long balls in the twinbill. “We do have some power in our lineup,” Calumet manager Joel Rastello said afterward.

Copper Kings Win Two at Houghton

Calumet head coach Joel Rastello believes he has “six or seven girls” who have legitimate home run power.
