Starting this week, all Calumet basketball games (both JV and Varsity) are available to be viewed live on the NFHS Network. Calumet Athletic Director, Sean Jacques, reported that the streaming of all games has been made possible by the installation of a new piece of camera technology called Pixellot. A Pixellot camera system uses four stationary cameras to record and process the moving action on the gym floor. This system has eliminated some of the burden put on a film crew and production staff. Because of the automated nature of this system, Calumet is now able to stream JV basketball games for the first time.
Calumet athletic fans can watch these games on the NFHS Network for a low monthly fee if $9.95. In order to create and account, visit www.nfhsnetwork.com. All sporting events are available to watch for free 72 hours after the event is aired live.
This service will be extended to volleyball in the fall of 2018.
